Menu Bar

1. Menu Bar

A) New: Inserts new page

B) Open: Opens images

C) Browse: Browses images

D) Open as: Opens images

E) Open as Smart Object: opens images in a smart way. Smart objects are a layer that contains image data from raster or vector images, such as Photoshop or Illustrator files. Shrewd items protect as picture’s source content with all its unique qualities, empowering you to perform nondestructive altering to the layer.

F) Open recent: Quick open of image of recent 10 edited image.

G) Device Central: Jumps to Device Central program.

H) Close: Closes the page.

I) Close all: Closes all the pages.

J) Close and Goto Bridge: closes the image and goes to Adobe Bridge program.

K) Save: saves the file.

L) Save as: allow you to save file with different name &   location.

M) Check In:

N) Save for web & Devices: allow you to save files that you can use for a website or other devices.

O) Revert: allow you to back to the original state of image.

P) Place: use to place artwork into a new layer in an image.

Q) Import: allow you to import annotation, PDF Image, or WIA support file e. g. import from scanner.

R) Export: allow you to export Paths to Illustrator or Zoom View.

S) Automate:

Batch:

          This option is used to import and display multiple images with a single action. It lets you play and action on a folder of file and sub-folder.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Batch
  2. Click on the choose button.
  3. Select the required folder where the required images are stored.
  4. Click on the OK button.

PDF Presentation:

          This option saves the images in *.psd format to be viewed as a slide show. It requires Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> PDF Presentation
  2. Select the presentation and browse the required images.
  3. Click on the Save button.

Create Droplet:

You can consider Droplets’ self-running applications that perform activities that are related to it on records hauled onto the bead.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Create Droplet
  2. Click on the choose button and click on the save button choosing the required location.
  3. Choose the required action.
  4. Click on the OK button.

Conditional Mode Change:

This option is use to change the color mode of the image.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Conditional Mode Change
  2. Choose source mode and target mode
  3. Click on the OK button.

Contact Sheet II:

          This option displays a series of thumbnails preview on a single page. Contact Sheet lets you easily preview & catalog groups of images. You can automatically create & place thumbnails on a page.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Contact Sheet II
  2. Click on the “Browse” button.
  3. Select the required folder where the images are located.
  4. Click on the “OK” button.

Crop and Straighten Photos:

This option crops and straightens the image automatically if the image is rotated.

Steps:

  1. Open Rotated image.
  2. File -> Automate -> Crop and Straighten Photos.

Fit Image:

This option shows the measurement of the current image.

Steps:

  1. Open an image.
  2. File -> Automate -> Fit Image.

Picture Package:

This option inserts multiple copies of a source images on a single page with given size and number.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Picture Package
  2. Set available options like the size of the page, images, etc.
  3. Click on the OK button.

Web Photo Gallery:

              This option automatically generates a web photo gallery from a set of images. A web photo gallery is a website feature a home page with a thumbnail image & gallery page with the full-size image.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Web Photo Gallery
  2. Click on the “Browse” button.
  3. Select the required folder.
  4. Click on the OK button.
  5. Click the “Destination” button and select location.
  6. Click on the OK button.
  7. Set other available options like styles.
  8. Click on the OK button.

Merge to HDR:

Merge to HDR is for combining multiple exposures of the same subject into a single 32-bit HDR file which can then be rendered down to produce a 16-bit or 8-bit per channel image. Merge to HDR and the 32-bit conversion methods are much more refined and controlled than cutting together multiple exposures.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Merge to HDR
  2. Click on the browse button.
  3. Select the required images of the same dimensions.
  4. Set the required exposure values and click on the ok button.
  5. Choose bit depth and click on the Ok button.

Photomerge:

                   This commands combines several photographs into one continuous image.

Steps:

  1. File -> Automate -> Photomerge
  2. Click on the “Browse” button.
  3. Select the required images.
  4. Click on the OK button.
  5. Set the images as you like.
  6. Click on the OK button.

T) File Info: you can add title and copyright information to a web-page.

U) Page Setup: modifies paper, orientation, and margins before you print.

V) Print with Preview: previews your image before you print.

W) Print: prints the image.

X) Print one Copy: prints one copy of the image.

Y) Exit: closes Adobe Photoshop.
